This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information in connection with the AdBlock Pro: Protect Yourself mobile application (the "App"). Your privacy is the entire point of the App, so we've kept this document as direct as possible.
1. What we do not collect
We do not collect, store or transmit:
- Your browsing history or the websites you visit.
- Page content, URLs, search terms or form input.
- Personal identifiers such as your name, email address or phone number (beyond what you voluntarily send us at support).
- Location data.
All filter matching happens locally on your device through Safari's content blocker API. We never see what you browse.
2. What we do collect
- Anonymous usage analytics — aggregate counts of feature usage and crash reports so we can fix bugs and improve the App.
- Device identifiers — a non-personal identifier provided by the operating system used for analytics and subscription attribution.
- Subscription status — we receive your subscription state (active, expired, trial) from Apple to unlock paid features.
3. How we use this information
We use the limited data we receive to operate the App, deliver paid features, prevent fraud, diagnose crashes and improve performance. We do not sell data. We do not build advertising profiles.
4. Third parties
The App relies on a small number of services to function:
- Apple — handles all payments, subscriptions and App Store delivery under Apple's privacy policy.
- Anonymous analytics provider — receives aggregate usage and crash events with no personal identifiers attached.
We do not share data with advertisers or data brokers.
5. Children's privacy
The App is rated 4+ and is appropriate for all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
6. Your rights (GDPR)
If you are in the European Economic Area, you have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict processing of any personal data we hold about you, and the right to data portability. Because we do not maintain user accounts, most of these rights are fulfilled automatically by deleting the App from your device. For any remaining request, email us.
7. Your rights (CCPA)
California residents have the right to know what personal information (if any) we collect, to request deletion and to opt out of any "sale" of personal information. We do not sell personal information.
8. Data retention
Anonymous analytics are retained only as long as needed to improve the App. Subscription records are retained as required by Apple and applicable tax and accounting laws.
9. Security
We apply industry-standard security practices to protect the limited data we process. No system is 100% secure, but because the App does not store your browsing activity, there is no browsing data to leak.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
